Hello all! My name is Destiny Stanley. Here in about three days I will be embarking on, what seems to be, and ordinary adventure. Yes! I will, along with MANY others, be auditioning for American Idol in Nashville, TN. 

I know for many individuals this is the "american dream" that they live for, but I can't say the same for myself. Let me just say that I have been a supporter of the show for a few years, and I have been entertained...no doubt. This, however, does not mean that I would ever want to participate. Even though I believe in Jesus and know that He calls us to do many different things, I've always had the attitude that American Idol is an "I want an easy road to a self glorifying life OF the world", and that anyone who went for it was conforming to the ways of world. I know...great attitude, right?

 Funny story...as a follower of Christ, I also know that I have been called to expand His kingdom, which sometimes calls me to step out of the box into different, uncomfortable things. Our God is an unordinary God, and He sometimes calls us on unordinary missions to glorify His name. Over the next few video blogs I will be sharing with you what I feel God has been speaking to me as I trudge through the auditions. Come with me as I adventure out of the box and into the promises of God...whatever they may be.
